Emily is shortlisted for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year award!

Congratulations to Emily for being shortlisted as a finalist for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 in the Fast Growth Business Awards, organized by growingbusiness.co.uk. This is such amazing news, for someone who truly deserves to be noticed after all her fabulous hard work for BlueBella. After all, where would we all be without Emily?

The judging day of all the finalists will take place in September, with the winners being announced at the Fast Growth business Awards ceremony at the beginning of October.

Growing Business’ editorial director had a few words to say about the finalists,
“This year’s shortlisted finalists surpassed our wildest expectations. The companies that have made the 2011 shortlist for their chosen categories in the Fast Growth Business Awards ought to be immensely proud. Despite what you may have read about the state of the economy it was emphatically not reflected in the quality of this year’s entrants, with a higher level of competition for a finalist’s spot than we have seen since the awards launched five years ago. The rate of growth experienced, and the level of innovation and ingenuity demonstrated, show that British business has a huge amount to shout about. We fully expect this group of finalists – not just the eventual winners – to follow in the footsteps of their highly successful predecessors such as Lovefilm, Maximuscle and Multimap. While those companies were subsequently acquired by global giants Amazon, GlaxoSmithKline and Microsoft respectively in deals worth hundreds of millions of pounds, we see no reason why we won’t be talking about a major international brand emerging from these awards in future.”
